Karl Kingston, 'Nesfield Motors': A rather poor photograph I'm afraid, but the model is the Seddon Pennine IV, built from the Westward Models kit by Karl. Some may be familiar with the recently released Three & Twelve Model Co (Hong Kong) model and it was nice to see a model to compare it with. This kit certainly looked the part, just a shame the photo doesn't show its more appealing qualities. A super little model. Karl Kingston, 'Nesfield Motors': A more front-on view of the Seddon Pennine IV in Karl Kingson's 'Nesfield Motors' fleet livery. Karl Kingston, 'Nesfield Motors': A Bedford CF350/Plaxton Mini-Supreme (Paragon Road Services) and the Seddon Pennine Midi. In the garage is a Bedford YRQ/Willowbrook 'Expressway' (Paragon Road Services).
Karl Kingston, 'Nesfield Motors': A Willowbrook 008 'Spacecar' (GS Models). Karl Kingston, 'Nesfield Motors': A Willowbrook 008 'Spacecar' (GS Models). Karl Kingston, 'Nesfield Motors': A Willowbrook 008 'Spacecar' (GS Models).
Karl Kingston, 'Nesfield Motors': The Bedford VAS/Willowbrook (extended Pirate Models kit), the Plaxton Mini-Supreme and the Seddon Pennine Midi. Karl Kingston, 'Nesfield Motors': A Duple Dominant I (ABS Streetscene) and the Plaxton Mini Supreme. Ian Laws, 'Littletown Interchange': An aerial view of Ian Laws' motorised 'Littletown Interchange' layout featuring, at the front of this shot, Ian's articulated tram, built from two Tower Models Leyland National kits.
Ian Laws, 'Littletown Interchange': so-called, as it features a bus station and a tram station, and is in a little town! Ian originates from very close to a small village called Littletown, in County Durham. The layout also features many of the items available from Ian's Model Bus Station range of accessories. Ian Laws, 'Littletown Interchange': Yet another aerial shot, but a little closer to the 'action' this time. Ian showed us a selection of his JetCal transfers and, seen here, although not too clearly, is a rear Ad on a 3-axle model from his fleet. Apologies to Ian, but one or two of the closer shots of this particular model didn't come out too well - not the fault of the model, I must add, but one of lighting. Ray Turley: Using a rather different approach to decaling, Ray Turley's 'Nene Valley' Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine II, is seen here in over-all-Ad for the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC). Ray informs us that he created the Ad, with permission, from artwork supplied by HSBC, the finished waterslides being made by 'Colour Copies'. With a little tinkering, he managed to get this fine result. He further informs us that HSBC would like to see his results - I'm sure, like us, they will be impressed!

The MBF Cheshire & Potteries Area, 24th Crewe Model Bus Extravaganza was held at Crewe Library in February, and once again the event proved very successful indeed, thanks to the sterling efforts of Keith Chapman, David Eadie and Robin Hannay.

The winners of our two competitions were Eric Wain with his Toastracks (Best Model) and Rob Richardson with 'Dros-Y-Bont’ (Best Layout).

It was good to number among our visitors, MBF Webmaster, John Ryan, and I gather that a feature on the show will appear on the MBF Website.
