Eric Wain, Albion Works: All three vehicles with the plaque awarded for the Best Model. Jon Fitness, 'Worktown': Jon's layout, which won the award for Best Display at the AGM last year, is based upon an amalgam of towns around Manchester, and features motorised buses. Also seen on the layout are several converted buses made using his 'Bolton's Bits' conversion parts, which include the bus shelters at the front of the layout. The layout also features a nostalgic mix of liveries seen soon after the introduction of Selnec PTE in 1969/70 which, unfortunately, is no longer to be seen. The MBF Cheshire & Potteries Area, 24th Crewe Model Bus Extravaganza was held at Crewe Library in February, and once again the event proved very successful indeed, thanks to the sterling efforts of Keith Chapman, David Eadie and Robin Hannay.

The winners of our two competitions were Eric Wain with his Toastracks (Best Model) and Rob Richardson with 'Dros-Y-Bont’ (Best Layout).

It was good to number among our visitors, MBF Webmaster, John Ryan, and I gather that a feature on the show will appear on the MBF Website.
