| MBF West Area at the Thornbury
(Bristol) Model Railway
Exhibition In late-November, members of the MBF West Area put on a display of model buses (and Paul Mellor's trucks!), at the Thornbury (Bristol) Model Railway Exhibition. It was good to see Clive Turner's motorised 'City Centre' back in action, once again, after a short absence - he's always off on holiday it seems, with his caravan, but his CityLine EFE Dart/Pointer was back in service, at the show, along with the EFE Wright Volvo. It was pretty gloomy, in November, and it soon got dark inside the bus station, giving us chance to admire the illuminations, inside the bus garage. The digital camera makes it easier to get in close, at Ed's eye level, for another look at Barry Tilling's powder-puff blue 'Eagle Coachways' layout, and his candy-floss pink 'Glevum Coaches', built and finished (in colours of Barry's choice!) by Alan Jones. Traffic was very heavy in Bristol, all day, especially when Paul Mellor got in, with his very HGVs, and Tom Couling brought along his motorised Leyland Octopus. |
