Dennis Dart/ALX300: This is the second model that Frank Cumming has built in the new livery, and is in 'as-delivered' condition. It is one of David's favourites. Dennis Dart Plaxton Pointer: This is the first bus that Ray Turley painted into the new livery and was requested to do so, by David. It is based on an EFE model - which one I can't remember! Dennis Trident ALX400: An ALX400 that was purchased from Frank Cumming, and is the first of the type that Frank has constructed in the new livery. I have repainted the orange stripes, as Frank had not got the correct shade of orange to hand, at the time, and he wanted to get it ready for David. Needless to say, this is one of David's favourite models. Dennis Trident ALX500: An ALX 500 that we purchased second-hand from a model shop in Leamington Spa, and the only thing done to it, by me, was to go over the orange which was a little weak. The previous owner had altered it to a single door layout - not brilliant, but passable.
Leyland Atlantean: The Dinky Leyland Atlantean, which I had spare, was by way of an experiment to see what an Atlantean would look like in the new colours. Needless to say David has Optare Solo: An Optare Solo that my good friend, Ray Turley, painted for David, as a Christmas present. Volvo B10M Plaxton Premiere: David, of course, wanted a coach in the new livery and, once again, Ray Turley stepped in and painted a Plaxton Premiere for him - saved me doing it (as Ray gets things done a lot quicker than I do)!

The Model Buses of David Rollins

David Rollins is a Junior member, and took one of the prizes, in that class, at the AGM Modelling Competition, at Stoke-on -Trent, in October 2001. He is obviously very keen on his hobby, because he gets his dad to do the stuff he cannot, yet, manage and he gets his mum to build card bus depots, as we shall soon see in the Journal! - Ed.

These 'Members' Own Galleries' are intended for members who would like to 'showcase' some of their models, in their own personal Gallery .

This facility is available to ALL members, and you are invited to submit your own photos with text for captions. Additional photos may be added to your gallery, at any time as new models are completed.

Please send details (photos and text) to: MBF Web Galleries.
For help with preparation of your photos, then please first see these Gallery Guidelines.
Please, also, if at all possible, DO write about your latest models for the Model Bus Journal!
