London Transport DMS Conversion: This is the later, B20, version of the DMS, and was achieved by modifying the Exclusive First Editions model. It uses a resin engine cover from Mike Pannell, which necessitates some chopping around at the back end, followed by a complete repaint. I have also changed the doors to two-piece, as per the prototype. London Transport G60, Guy Arab II/Park Royal: Whilst waiting for EFE to release their Utility in post-war livery, I decided to do one of my own. This is an EFE repaint, with decals to complete from Model Bus Company (for the Pirate Models kit), and adverts from the Little Bus Company.
London Transport G88, Guy Arab II/Park Royal: This is a whitemetal kit, made from the Cotswold kit (yes it is that old!), which I believe is still available from Pirate Models. It took years to complete, as it kept getting put to one side, and was finished just before the EFE/OOC twins appeared. London Transport Routemaster RCL2260: Another EFE model modified using parts from Model Road & Rail. London Transport Routemaster RMC1500: In 1983 LT Golden Jubilee year, this vehicle was the 'showbus' for Edmonton (Tramway Avenue) garage, and was the only one of the batch bought back from London Country in 1980 which retained its dual headlamps, and received this red version of the Green Line livery. It is still in existence today, with Blue Triangle of Rainham, Essex, who have re-instated the platform doors and repainted it in original Green Line livery. London Transport Routemaster RML2521: A lightly-modified EFE model, in the 'Tourist Route' livery, introduced in 1986. It was converted using decals available from Model Road & Rail. Apart from adding the yellow bands, and removing the original adverts, very little else was required, and even parts of the original destination blinds were used.
London Transport AEC Regent III, RT100: Based on the EFE model, this 'so-called' pre-war RT has roof boxes and whitemetal radiator from Model Road & Rail. I had some Ayres Red paint made up for this model, but I am not convinced it looks right. London Transport AEC Regal, T175: A resin kit from the Little Bus Company, built because I always liked these Weymann-bodied vehicles, with their distinctive destination boxes.
